Tuesday, 27 May 2014 – The British Chamber of Commerce held a Business Breakfast at the Dusit Thani to talk about the 2015 ASEAN Economic Integration. As Chris Devonshire-Ellis was indisposed, David Lee, the Regional Manager of Dezan Shira & Associates, stepped in to give the presentation.
Mr. Lee’s presentation covered the ASEAN developments focusing on the Philippines, China and India. He presented a brief of the ASEAN Economic Community, its core elements and compliance issues, the opportunities for an integrated ASEAN and the challenges faced by ASEAN.
The audiences had a lively discussion after the talk about the compliance issues and whether the Philippines is equipped to join the integration by 2015.
