28 June– The British Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Ginebra San Miguel Premium Gin, recently celebrated WORLD GIN DAY last 28th of June at the Dusit Thani Manila. Highlight of the event was the 2nd BCCP Bartending Competition where bartenders from top hotels in Metro Manila curated their best gin concoction to bag the most coveted title.
Bartenders from Discovery Primea, Dusit Thani Manila, Fairmont and Raffles Makati, Holiday Inn and Suites, Makati Diamond Residences, New World Makati Hotel, and Joy-Nostalg and Suites battled it out for the grand prize of P10,000 cash from GSMI and a roundtrip ticket to the UK courtesy of Etihad Airways.
Paul Perez of Fairmont and Raffles Makati landed the 1st prize with his winning drink, The Luminary which was inspired by Florence Nightingale and highlighted the marriage of local and English flavor. Second Place went to Arnel Villaverde of Makati Diamond Residences with his fragrant cocktail, 7 Dutches that uses a combination of berries and flowers. He won P5,000 cash prize from GSMI and gift items. Third prize winner was Christian Hope Daniel of Joy-Nostalg Hotels & Suites.
