As Government sees Airport Infrastructure Development as a necessary element in economic transformation, multi-billion peso investment from both Government and Private fundings through PPP had been allocated to improve, modernize, expand and build new airports to accommodate massive passengers influx.
To address air connectivity challenges, several airport projects are using the latest technologies which aims to increase airport terminals capacity, and improving their facilities and passenger experience.
The most awaited projects includes NAIA Expansion/ Rehabilitation, Bulacan International Airport, Sangley International Airport, Tuguegarao Airport, San Vicente Airport, Tacloban Airport, Antique Airport, Bacolod-Silay Airport, Catbalogan Airport, Davao International Airport, M’Lang Airport, Sanga-Sanga Airport in Tawi-Tawi,Ozamis Airport, Bohol, Laguindingan, Bicol, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, Davao, Bacolod, Kalibo, Busuanga and Siargao. And additional four new regional airports in Dumaguete, Siargao, Zamboanga and Masbate.
