The Philippines is rapidly expanding its digital and infrastructure landscape, driven by greater connectivity, cloud adoption, digital services, and the deployment of AI-enabled systems across the public and private sectors. However, this growth has been accompanied by rising cyber risks and gaps in national readiness. The 2025 Cisco Cybersecurity Readiness Index shows that only 6% of Philippine organizations have reached a “mature” level of cybersecurity, while 85% of firms reported AI-related security incidents in the past year.

Under its Trade & Connect series, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) in partnership with Eastern Communications and KMC Solutions
,
gathers government, industry, and technology leaders to examine AI and cybersecurity risks in critical infrastructure, assess national frameworks, and explore how security considerations are shaping infrastructure investment and public-private partnerships. This initiative seeks to provide a grasp on the Philippines’ evolving cybersecurity landscape for critical infrastructure, highlighting current threats, regulatory and governance approaches, and practical strategies to strengthen resilience through collaboration between the public and private sectors.
