Online counterfeiting is rising during COVID 19 and is expected to continue. IP enforcement remains a source of business concern in the Philippines. Insufficient IP enforcement information and a resulting lack of transparency is a barrier for foreign investors. One of the projects under the UK government’s Financial Sector and Intellectual Property (FSIP) Programme aims to address the lack of adequate IP enforcement information through an IP enforcement Manual. This Manual on IP enforcement in the Philippines has been developed for businesses operating in or planning to expand into the Philippines. It is published in cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines and aims to provide foreign businesses with a picture of how the IP enforcement system works in the Philippines.
Join us for a webinar on 24 June 2020 at 2:00PM (Manila) entitled “IP Protection in the Time of COVID-19”. Our guest speaker, Atty. Edmund Baranda, Managing Partner of Baranda and Associates, will discuss in-depth the details of the laws and regulations as well as the IP enforcement procedures.
