MANILA – Uncertainty over Brexit continues to weigh on UK businessmen, the head of the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) said Wednesday.
British businessmen want clarity on what will happen after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union, BCCP chairman Chris Nelson said in an interview with ANC’s Market Edge.
Many businessmen are also hoping that London secures a deal with Brussels before the UK leaves the EU, Nelson added.
Despite the uncertainty over UK-EU trade relations post Brexit, he said many British businessmen are still keen on investing in the Philippines.
“Notwithstanding where Brexit goes, the importance of the UK and the Philippines, the fact that we have growing trade, obviously we want to do much more,” Nelson said.
