Last February 3, 2021, The Bicameral Conference Committee of the House of Representatives has ratified the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Bill and is now up for signing by President Rodrigo Duterte. The CREATE Bill is seen to encourage more investments with the lowering of the corporate income taxes rate and rationalizing fiscal incentives. Aside from that, the CREATE Bill is poised to boost market confidence, providing instant relief to businesses suffering from business reverses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
