As COVID-19 continues to ravage the health situation around the world, environmentalists warned that a new surge of plastic and medical wastes are threatening our bodies of water – masks, gloves, and other related items that are regularly used by the general public.

GPCCI in partnership with BASF Philippines, the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and CCI-France Philippines, have invited experts from The Plastic Flamingo and Metro Clark Waste Management Corporation to provide discussion on the current state of plastic and medical waste management in the time of the pandemic. They will also discuss the adoption of circular economy urging a “greener new normal”.
